I started this blog entirely on my phone.
We’re in an era where most things, whether software, hardware, or physical objects, can be built from a phone, and this blog is a record of that. Before joining Anthropic, I worked on Castle.xyz, a mobile game engine and social network. Castle taught me how far you can push the boundaries of software development on a phone. I still believe we’re scratching the surface.
The notes here will follow my process of building on a phone, along with other thoughts about my work.
I think these notes are worth keeping because they’re a marker of time. Things are changing fast, and a log of what was and wasn’t possible, and how it actually got done, will be interesting to look back on. There’s a chance I’ll reread entries and wonder whether they were worth writing about, but that’s the beauty of it. If it’s useful to anyone else along the way, even better.
